A Spiral-Tower solves elevation change problems when other spirals or lifts can’t do the job.
Spiral-Towers are manufactured in multiple segments with a maximum arc of 270-degree. This allows for quick and efficient shipping and installation. As each segment is individually powered, very high elevation differences are possible. Product is conveyed continuously on high-grip belting, with minimum slippage. Bulk flow is possible; product singulation or product metering is not required.
High grip or rough-top belting allows to optimize the number of spiral revolutions, often less than with comparable plastic slat spiral systems. Whenever possible, segments are identical in size and utilize the same belts – this minimizes the amount of spare parts.
Wide belt widths are available, making Spiral-Towers suitable for large item or bulk flow applications. Low maintenance design. Robust, chain-driven belts are easily replaceable.
SLBP Merge Tables are large SLB conveyors with a plow or diverter mounted on one or both sides, acting as a merge table combining multiple product streams into one, sometimes also called “mega merge conveyor”. Applications include 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 merges or high-speed sorter discharge take-away conveyors.
SLB Straight Belt Conveyors use the proven positive chain drive principle known from chain-driven belt curves. This “Loose Belt” design principle avoids belt tracking problems commonly experienced when a short wide conveyor belt is used.
The SLB Conveyor design also eliminates side load belt tracking problems encountered on regular belt conveyors. Unlike most other straight conveyors, the SLB Conveyor does not use the end roll to drive its conveyor belt. The belt is pulled along by its outside edge by the belt drive chain. A special chain attachment link connects the belt drive chain to a series of grommeted holes along the edge of the belt. The chain runs in a track along the side of conveyor and holds and guides the belt in the correct position while moving forward.
SLB Conveyors feature an all-steel conveyor frame design and are a great choice for indexing and product queuing applications.
FLOW-TURN’s SKR Straight Knife Roll Conveyors are designed for applications requiring narrow gaps between up- and downstream conveyors to transport even smallest items safely and reliably.
One key benefit is the narrow, fixed position transfer gap design. The belt travels around a series of sealed roller bearings; the transfer point is fixed and not affected by belt tensioning. This design has been proven over many years with Flow-Turn’s Knife Roll-Turns.
SKR Conveyors are available in various lengths and widths. SKR Conveyors have robust sliderbed frames, constructed in mild or (optional) stainless steel. Replacement of the endless belt is quick and simple. The belt only wraps around the end rolls, the drive pulley and the tension roller. The tension roller can easily be removed to allow the belt to be taken out.
